Job purpose

The Travel Expense Analyst will be responsible for managing several aspects of the travel and entertainment expense processing and will own the more complex areas of the process, including Concur administration and management of Aggregate Spend/Sunshine Act Reporting. In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Melinta’s travel policy.

Duties and responsibilities

Provide Concur administrative support to business users for company-wide T&E reporting
Build and maintain strong relationships with business users through exceptional customer service, and develop/provide training and support as needed
Assist users with Concur questions and filling out T&E reports as the “go to” person
Assist with maintaining/updating the travel and expense documentation on the Company’s intranet, and any reference materials
Support teammates and managers with questions in regards to expense report entry and exceptions, corporate card use and maintenance, policy compliance and other general questions
Resolve problems by clarifying issues, researching answers and/or alternative solutions, implementing solution, and escalating unresolved problems to management
Process Concur expense reports and review them to ensure proper accounting treatment
Prepare monthly account reconciliations between accounting system and Concur
Balance and reconcile corporate credit card transactions
Prepare month-end accruals for T&E reports
Manage and/or perform audits on submitted T&E reports for policy compliance and/or fraud with escalation to management as needed
Coordinate with third party service provider to provide information relevant to Sunshine Act reporting using Concur reports and information in the general ledger
Develop and document internal controls surrounding the T&E process
Act as Concur system administrator, including managing user access and chart of accounts
Assist with special projects – maximize usage of Concur, recommend enhancements

Associate degree in accounting (or higher)
2+ years of T&E management (Concur experience required)
Strong Excel skills required
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, “can-do” team environment
Experience with a corporate credit card program a plus
Sunshine Act reporting experience preferred
Microsoft Great Plains experience preferred
